  交際與語(yǔ)言表達(dá)

  1. 本篇是一個(gè)健身俱樂(lè)部的介紹。首先，“On behalf of LP Clubs，I’d like to welcome you all here today. My name’s...one of the fitness managers here.”中On behalf of ..., I’d like to ...(我謹(jǐn)代表機(jī)構(gòu)/某人……)是致辭演講時(shí)的常用開(kāi)場(chǎng)白。

  2. 俱樂(lè)部經(jīng)理講“...I’ll just run through some basic information about...(我先講一下的……基本信息)”、“run through”在這里為“過(guò)一遍”的意思。

  3. 講到游泳池很寬，“...there are rarely more than a couple of people at a time in each lane.(...很多人在同一條泳道的情況很少)”。“a couple of意為“兩個(gè)，幾個(gè)”;“at a time”意為“在某時(shí)”。

  6. 接著講俱樂(lè)部在客戶(hù)中的口碑，“One thing all our members appreciate about us is that we take very good care of them.”其中“appreciate”意為“贊賞”;“take care of...”意為“照顧”。

  7. 健身時(shí)，注意人身安全和避免受傷很重要，于是提到“It’s very important to do this because we really do want to avoid having any sports injuries. There’s a lot more to looking after yourself than simply lifting weights!”其中“It’s very important

  to...” 為固定句式，意為“……很重要”;avoid(避免)，可以有avoid sb./sth. 或 avoid doing sth.(避免做)兩種表述;look after = take care of (照顧)。

You are asked to fill in a questionnaire giving details of any health problems.既然是day one，那也就是new member了，fill in a questionnaire即填寫(xiě)調(diào)查問(wèn)卷，giving details of any health problems中的giving details of正好是題干中describe的同義替換，故health problems為答案。

  Question 14 safety rules

  聽(tīng)前預(yù)測(cè)：提示詞為T(mén)he(主語(yǔ))，此處應(yīng)填名詞。

  題目解析：空格處缺少的是句子的主語(yǔ)，整個(gè)句子用的時(shí)態(tài)又是被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)，所填就需是“物”。定位到“The trainer will then take you through the safety rules for using the equipment in the fitness suite”，于是 safety rules就是trainer要take you through 的內(nèi)容，題干中將take you through同義替換成了be explained to you，句子從主動(dòng)形式變成了被動(dòng)句，這樣一來(lái)safety rules就作了主語(yǔ)。

  聽(tīng)前預(yù)測(cè)：定位詞為six-week，提示詞為a，此處應(yīng)填名詞(單數(shù))。

  題目解析：注意聽(tīng)含有定位詞的句子“the trainer will draw up a plan, outlining what you should try to achieve within a six-week period”，其中“draw up a plan”的意思是“起草計(jì)劃”。“outlining what you should try to achieve”修飾plan的用途，一直圍繞著plan講，因此將被提供的是a six-week plan，plan即為答案。
