  Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

  Movies should only be watched when they teach people things about real life.


  【命題立意分析】:

 很可能是因?yàn)榇汗?jié)檔的中國(guó)電影才逐步下線,討論和影評(píng)的預(yù)熱尚存時(shí),ETS出了這樣一道為時(shí)不晚的題目。畢竟賀歲檔的電影還真的引發(fā)了大家對(duì)于看電影為故事為思考還是為娛樂(lè)為樂(lè)呵的熱議。


  【Introduction】

  The statement is hardly convincing as it narrows the movies to an edification tool. Movies actually have more than one purpose, and viewers can go to the cinema not for the purpose of learning a lesson.

  【寫(xiě)作思路】:

  “不同意”可能是個(gè)很容易想到的立場(chǎng),也是一個(gè)比較好闡述的立場(chǎng),畢竟作為塵世凡夫俗子的筆者覺(jué)得,看電影不要那么沉重應(yīng)該是更大一部分人的想法,那就比較容易找到理由去論述。


  【Body】

  We may have seen many movies that tell stories with messages, we also have seen movies with only sensational pictures that give aesthetic inspirations and movies that are primarily to give viewers hearty laughter. The visual effects or punchlines are also the meaningful purpose of movies; they are not inferior to instructive stories. For example, 此處可以舉例說(shuō)明了,尤其可以說(shuō)說(shuō)視效大片阿凡達(dá)(Avatar)或者開(kāi)心麻花的各種搞笑片。

  最容易想到的理由立刻就寫(xiě)了,例子也很好舉。寫(xiě)這一段不費(fèi)事。

  In addition, many people do not like to be instructed to live a “correct” life. A movie can be a philosophical book as is the idea of the screenplay; at the same time, such a movie may have a slack box office. A movie can also be a purely entertaining one and sell well. If the statement were right, should we reproach the audience for being unserious about life because of their choice of an amusing movie? Would the audience accept that? 這一段可以不舉例,就在這兩個(gè)問(wèn)句結(jié)束就很足夠有力了。多言或是贅述。

  這一段故意篇幅短小,也不舉例。態(tài)度強(qiáng)硬一些,語(yǔ)句措辭本身有力一些,只要理由本身正確就可以“得理不饒人”。

  Another major limitation of the statement is that it fails to see an important real motive for watching a movie that teaches something about real life. Typically, that a movie stars an adored actor may be the initial reason why people watch the movie. For example, 此處可以舉例,比如是不是有人是沖著四字弟弟去看的《送你一朵小紅花》然后被故事感動(dòng)?是不是有人沖著賈玲去看的《你好,李煥英》而后被故事感動(dòng)?Since we cannot deny this decisive factor and meanwhile we still want people to learn life lessons from the movie, we should not be too blunt about our intention of giving life advice. Nor should we tell people, using a teacher’s attitude, that they should watch only this and not that. Instead, we should be strategic, allowing the crowd to be “superficial” and using the star as the hook.
