1月25日托福考試基本信息
考試地點：上海中學逸夫樓機房207
上海新航道隨考老師：蔣洋洋等
機器設置：臺式機，鍵盤和電腦不算老舊;每人一個兩側帶隔板的桌子;考生分為四大組，每組每行2人;整個教室80%以上的上座率，共計40人左右
工作人員態度：年老工作人員和藹，個別很年輕的工作人員稍有不耐煩表情
考試簽到流程：進入大樓(不遲于8:30)-->核對考場信息，在身份證上貼考場信息-->簽保密協議-->將食物留在桌上，其它東西一律存進帶電子鎖的柜子(每人一個，有條形碼密碼，考完才可以取)-->帶身份證、保密協議、柜子密碼紙進各自的小考場，進入前搜身，原則上不允許帶其它東西包括眼藥水、餐巾紙、文具等
進入小考場后流程：核對信息-->簽名-->拍照-->工作人員領至座位，發三張草稿紙-->考生確認電腦屏幕上的個人信息-->考官在8:45統一解鎖，當然，因為只有兩個考官，所以各考生正式開考時間還是有細微的時間差

1托福閱讀
第一篇
大意：農業種植和畜牧業的興起
幾個理論：1.農業種植和畜牧業興起是因為人多了，需求高了，但這個理論好像被一些人或者作者本人否決了，因為往往先是農業種植和畜牧興起，再是人多了(有題);2.另有理論說人們發展種植和畜牧業，放棄四處打獵的生活，主要是由于想將產品用于交易trade，獲得盈余(有題)
其它重要內容：由trade而發展起來的種植和畜牧業也帶來了一定問題(有題)，包括增加人口，分配不均勻等等
第二篇
大意：在若干條件下，樹木會斷枝(主要描述樹木自己舍棄枝干)
重要條件列舉：1.某枝干的能量消耗大于支出時;2.需要繁殖(斷枝可以生根)時;3.內部腐爛或者極為干燥等等
其它重要內容：在斷枝之前，樹木可能已經在分泌一種東西，以保護即將出現的傷口(有題)
第三篇
大意：有哪些因素導致地球上誕生了復雜的生命體
重要因素：1.地球離太陽的遠近正好;2.地球上的原始生命雖然簡單，但能制造氧氣，支持復雜生命體(有題)
其它重要內容：地球早期空氣中氧氣含量幾乎為零，充滿了甲烷和二氧化碳等，后來才有了氧氣和臭氧層;原始生命在水里是因為在岸上的話容易受到太陽的毒辣照射;火星上有生命的話，也只能是在地下，因為沒有類似臭氧層一類的東西來保護生命不受太陽光的損害(有題)

Conversation:女生告訴老師上次沒來上課因為參加了一個debate的活動，很遠，是個大型的活動，美國國內好多個隊伍都來了，自己這個隊得的名次還不錯。老師聽后表示理解，并讓她看看給她的材料，上面有關于上節課的內容。

Lecture 1: 先說火山爆發無法預測，兩次爆發的間隔可能很短，也可能很長很長。另外說火山爆發前的四個征兆。

Before a volcano erupts，there is:
(1) normally an increase in earthquakes and tremors near and under the volcano. These are caused by magma (molten rock) pushing upward through the rock under the volcano.
(2) The ground may crack open and allow steam to escape. Gases such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, a gas that smells like eggs gone bad, frequently are present and escape in seams along the mountain.
(3) Hot springs in the area around the volcano may appear or change in appearance and temperature.
(4) A number of people are studying ways in which to use satellite data to monitor volcanoes. It is possible to obtain thermal images of volcanic areas, and by comparing images on a monthly or bi-weekly basis,increases or decreases in temperatures can be detected. Additionally,some new technologies have allowed for the determination of very accurate topography from satellite data. This technology may someday allow for the remote monitoring of surface deformation associated with sub-surface magma movement. This process is still being developed. It usually takes too long to get satellite data processed for this technique to be useful in a rapidly-escalating crisis so it would be used over the long term, in the years to months prior to an eruption rather than the hours prior.
Lecture 2: Europe history 講歐洲封建制度(Feudalism)。歐洲封建制度的是農民和貴族之間的關系，農民以向貴族地主交租以換取他們的保護(有題)。這形成了等級制度。農民向地主交租一般是以實物的形式，首先當時紙很貴，而且貨幣一般是商人使用，因為農民不需要用貨幣來換取糧食啥的(有題，問農民為什么不用money)。但是現在有人對封建制度的提出了和以前不一樣的看法，認為現在的土地制度是對以前封建制度的發展，而不是推翻(有題)。

Reading: Logical consequence: The teacher may use the logically consequence to lick the students’ wrong behavior with the negative consequence to correct it.
Listening: The professor used to teach little kids. A girl named Mary, painted on the desk and damaged some facilities; the professor punished her by not allowing her to go out play with other kids. But Mary still misbehaved next time; this time the professor punished her by not allowing her to use the pen, and it did work because Mary corrected her wrong behavior this time.
Task5
Problem: The boy is going to move to an apartment, and he has some furniture left in the old apartment. But he can’t rent a small track.
Solution 1: He can rent a big one, but it’s more expensive. He thinks it’s not worthy.
Solution 2: He can borrow a car from his friends, but he should run for several times since the car is not big enough to contain all the furniture.

講座話題是魚在水中面臨危機的兩種解決辦法.
如果水流很急，魚不能待在那，那么它們可以expand its body，比如catfish.
